These terms apply to the Qalta mobile app (“the app”) provided by Daniel Tokkozhin (“we”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Qalta is a personal expense tracker. You can keep accounts, transactions, budgets, and similar records on your device. Some features, including voice input, receipt and document scan, exchange rates, sign-in, and subscriptions, need an internet connection.
The app is provided as a freemium service: core tracking is available without a paid subscription; some features, limits, or AI usage may require a paid plan.
You sign in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for the device you use and for the records you enter. Journal data is stored on your device, not as a cloud copy on our servers. Optional backups, if you enable them, are stored in your iCloud account under Apple’s terms.
You can delete your account in the app. That removes the account and subscription records we store. Clearing local financial data, or uninstalling the app, is separate from deleting the account.
Paid subscriptions and in-app purchases are sold through the Apple App Store and billed by Apple. Prices, billing periods, free trials, and auto-renewal are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy.
Those purchases are also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Manage, cancel, or request a refund through your Apple account and Apple’s support, not through us. We do not receive or store payment card numbers.
We may change what a paid plan includes. If we do, we will describe it in the app or on the App Store. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will stay free or paid forever.
Voice, scan, and other AI features send the content you submit to our processors so the app can propose transactions. Those suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. You should review them before saving. You can add transactions manually without using AI.
You must not use AI features to submit content you are not allowed to share, or to try to disrupt the service.
You may use the app only for lawful personal expense tracking. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law; misuse AI or other network features; or interfere with the service or other users.
Do not jailbreak or root the device you use for the app. That can make the app unsafe or unusable, and we are not responsible for problems that follow.
The app, including its name, design, and code, belongs to us or our licensors. Your journal data on the device remains yours.
Some features need a network connection. Your carrier or roaming charges are your responsibility. We use third-party services to run the app. Their terms also apply:
Exchange rates and AI results come from third parties. We do not warrant that they are complete, current, or suitable for any particular decision.
We may update the app. To keep using it, you may need to install updates and a supported OS version. We do not guarantee that the app will remain available, free, or compatible with every device forever.
We may stop offering the app. If we do, the license to use it ends, and you should stop using it and may delete it from your device. Local records on your device remain until you delete them or uninstall the app, unless you also keep an iCloud backup.
The app is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions, totals, or exchange rates will be accurate. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost data, incorrect records, subscription or App Store billing disputes handled by Apple, or any indirect or consequential loss from using the app.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
We may update these terms. The effective date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Please check this page from time to time.
